The Ranger Free 120 Walk is an impressively light freeride boot that hikes as well as it skis. A Grilamid shell and cuff keep the weight low without compromising on the performance. Vibram GripWalk soles improve traction; the 3D pre-shaped Active Fit Zone liner can be heat moulded to improve comfort and foot hold. Total weight is under 1600g a boot (size 26.5) and the neatly integrated ski/walk mechanism adds 55 degrees of motion. Given the stats it's easy to understand how this boot is so good on descents and ascents. Ability Level Overview Fit A medium to low volume fit all over with a slightly more downhill performance feel. Shell Carbon-reinforced Grilamid shell and cuff. Traditional 2-piece design for the best performance when skiing. Grilamid for the perfect balance of lightweight, power and consistent characteristics whatever the temperature. Liner 3D Active Fit Zone liner, mouldable. Pre-shaped for the best fit out of the box, mouldable to ensure the best possible comfort, foot hold and performance. Active Fit Zones use softer material in sensitive areas, with firmer materials where support and power transmission are needed, these stiffer areas include flex zones for a dynamic fit. Loops are included on the liner in case laces are wanted for the best foot hold. Key Features Ski/Walk Mode When the best downhills are waiting on the other side of a long uphill, the Ranger's excellent walkability is a skier's best friend. Switch the clever integrated lever on the side of the cuff to walk mode for an excellent range of forward motion. This switch location makes it easy to access and ensures no compatibility issues with walking crampons.
