The new Ultra 85 W shares many features of stiffer models in the range, it just uses the softest flex but still benefits from the upgraded stability and ease of getting on and off. This makes it the ideal choice for lighter or less experienced skiers who still want great foot hold, precision and various tuning options to tweak the fit and feel. Customisation is simple with the mouldable Memory Fit shell and liner ensuring a more personalised anatomical shape; Energy Backbone provides the right amount of power. Ability Level Overview Fit Snug fit around the rear foot and medium over the instep, medium to narrow on the forefoot, round toe shape. Shell True Flex PU Memory Fit shell with PU Memory Fit cuff, mouldable. Updated for this season with stronger shell walls for even better power transfer and stability. The advanced heat fitting technology of Memory Fit creates a fully personalised shell and cuff in minutes. The key is Memolink, a special additive that improves the mouldability and stretch characteristics of the plastic. The boot shell is heated in an oven, then the skier's foot is placed inside the complete boot whilst it cools. With the foot's natural standing pressure, the forefoot of the boot can expand up to 3mm per side and the ankle area up to 5mm per side. True Flex is an exclusive Atomic shell material that means your flex and feel remains constant in a variety of temperatures. So, the boot you buy in store feels the same on the mountain, you don't lose horsepower in the spring and you don't have a boot that you can't flex in mid-winter. Liner 3D Silver W, mouldable. Thermoformable material is used in the heel and ankle areas. The liner is heated in an oven and is cooled to form to the shape of the skier's feet. 3D means pre-shaped heel and ankles areas for better foot hold and comfort. Instead of starting with a standard construction and cutting material away to save weight, Prolite does the opposite. It starts with the slimmest possible profile and then it builds up reinforcements in key areas where strength is needed. Power Shift Power Shift allows the forward lean to be adjusted to 13o, 15o or 17o simply by moving the power control up and down.
