The new K2 FL3X Method B&E is designed by Phil Casabon and Henrik Harlaut to perfectly match their needs whether in the park or on urban terrain. The shell has a generous 102mm forefoot, suiting skiers with wider feet who are searching for a more comfortable fit. If required it can be heat moulded to better shape to the skier's feet, ironing out any little pressure points. The Intuition Pro Wrap liner is both light and warm, but more importantly it is fully mouldable to take the very best shape and ensure the most comfortable fit. The 3-piece design is perfect for freestyle with a smooth consistent flex that doesn't bottom out like regular 2-piece shells, meaning it improves control and reduces shin bang. A soft rubber layer in the sole of the boot absorbs vibrations and impacts to create a smoother ride. The flex of 90 is ideal for the park, with the support for bigger features but the flex to push the butters. It's the perfect boot for freestyle skiers with wider feet. Ability Level Boots10 Overview Fit Generally an average feel, but with a slightly more generous forefoot width. Cabrio constructions allows for some flexibilty over the height of the instep. Shell TPU shell and cuff, Grilamid tongue, mouldable. K2's FL3X 3-piece construction offers a smooth flex with no deformation of the shell, leading to better foot hold, increased control and improved shock absorption. The Evolution shell provides more internal space than the Original version. Liner Intuition Pro Wrap, mouldable. Built using authentic Intuition closed-cell foam. It is body heat activated to mould 100% to your feet and shells during use, or can be instantly heat moulded instore in minutes for a light, warm and super comfortable fit. The Pro Wrap's specifically engineered to provide the most energy transfer to the shell while maintaining warmth in a custom mouldable fit. J-Bars are additional j-shaped piece of foam that is inserted internally on both sides of the ankle area to dramatically increase ankle hold down, to keep your feet perfectly in place for precise control. The foam is listed here from foot to shell: 4mm Open Cell, ensures warmth and comfort straight out of the box; 2mm Intuition MD Foam, medium density and hardness for a solid balance of comfort and performance; 7mm Intuition HD Foam, high density and firm for a responsive and efficient transfer of energy. An additional layer of ergonomically shaped EVA (Powerwrap) is wrapped around the outside of the upper liner to increase energy transfer and horsepower to the shell. Key Features Ribbed Tongue 100% Ribbed tongue enables smoother, more natural linear flex from your shin to your toe. The tongue bends like a flexible straw, never bottoming out while providing smooth rebound. No more shin bang! Ladder Buckle The ladder buckle features an intuitive, easy to remember, macro-size adjustment, plus a micro-twist for fine adjustment with a light, easy-to-handle aluminum lever.
