EST Freeride Rocker smoothes the ride and improves the handling in a variety of conditions with effortless turn initiation and release. The Caruba core uses Carbon stringers to ensure it stays light but still packs energy. Its the perfect choice for intermediate and advanced skiers who want an all-rounder they can keep progressing on. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type Pistes and off the side of runs are the natural home for this all mountain ski. It feels effortless in soft snow and still has plenty of energy and response when it is in firmer conditions. You can spend the day cruising pistes or chasing friends through trees and easier off-piste looking for new challenges. Skier Type Intermediates and lighter weight advanced skiers who want a fun, playful ski that has performance when you need it but isnt demanding when you want to back-off. Its happy whether youre cruising slowly or youve cranked up the speed. Overview Shape This is a modern all mountain ski so the width hits the sweet spot of 88mm. Still quick edge to edge and retaining the float. The tip has plenty of taper as it blends into the widest part of the ski, providing a smooth initiation, helped by the rocker and Carbon Reinforcement. Its shape works especially well with the build to create a ski that is responsive on piste, but stable and forgiving off. Rocker EST Freeride Rocker uses fore body rocker combined with extra tip taper for optimised float in the soft snow. Positive camber underfoot with no tail rocker ensures the ski stays on rails when carving. Core Armadas Caruba Core is their lightest core but retains the power and dampness required to descend the gnarliest of terrain. It uses caruba, a wood that is lighter than poplar without losing energy or durability. Construction With AR100 Sidewalls Armada are using full length vertical sidewalls, something they hadnt done for while before the Declivity and Reliance ranges. This construction improves precision and edge hold.
