The Maestrale Re-Made is based on the top selling Maestrale model, but this one is limited to just 2022 pairs and takes a new approach to materials. The shell, cuff and tongue are all made using scraps from production of previous boots, recycled and reworked to make this special version. Its a new generation of product that follows a low impact philosophy where even the Velcro Power Strap is reworked to remove harmful materials such as PVC. And none of the good stuff is affected either, the blend of comfort, performance and convenience remain, whether going uphill or down. The same excellent Speed Lock Plus and Wave Closure System, and a fully customisable Intuition liner. Available exclusively at Ellis Brigham in the UK. Ability Level Tour2 Overview Fit Firm hold around the rear foot, medium width across the forefoot and over the instep but being a 3 piece shell there is some flexibility for volume over the top of the foot. Shell Scarpa Re-Made Polymer shell, cuff and tongue. Production scraps are reused to reduce environmental impact whilst keeping quality and performance unaffected. The entire process is developed by the Scarpa Green Lab. The shell, cuff and tongue are made exclusively with recycled material coming from production scraps that have been collected over previous seasons. Liner Pro Flex Touring, mouldable. Thermoformable liner made with Intuition foam, featuring anatomic tongue construction with an elastic band on the instep. Specific thermoformable heel inserts lock the ankle in place during skiing or touring. Double pull loops facilitate fitting. The fit is touring-oriented and comfortable right out of the box. For a more precise, high-performance fit we suggest thermomoulding before skiing. Key Features Re-Made This material comes from production scraps used for realizing Maestrale. The plastic scraps are grinded and processed for injecting them and creating shell, cuff and tongue of this boot. University of Bologna's DICAM studies have pointed out that the emission of CO2 is reduced of 27% vs original version. Moreover, performances and quality are the same as the original. Wave Closure System Provides a lightweight and secure closure, comfortably wrapping the foot. Speedlock XT Ski/Walk mechanism Easy to unlock and lock, thanks to a lever with an integrated pull loop it is even simple to use with gloves. The system is enhanced by the Friction Free technology, in fact, there isn't any connecting rod between the shell and cuff. RECCO Technology With the aid of RECCO technology, rescue teams can track you in the event of an avalanche. The technology includes RECCO reflectors attached to clothing, helmets, guards and boots, and RECCO detectors used by over 800 rescue organisations worldwide. The reflectors and detectors allow users to track missing individuals thanks to the use of harmonic radar technology. RECCO technology is an additional tool that can be used alongside avalanche transceivers, probes and rescue dogs. The technology enables rescue organisations to find buried or lost individuals quicker and to increase the chance of survival. Axial Evo Alpine Construction Creating the best in touring comfort for the up and powerful responsiveness for the down, this unique Scarpa cabrio style design gives the best of both worlds. The forefoot and the cuff buckles, combined with the instep strap, allows you to easily adjust the volume, locking your foot in securely for the down while still being able to quickly open the boot to allow for a natural uphill stride.
