The Sum'Tec is a modular ice axe that has been designed for technical mountaineering. It features Petzl's Ice pick, which tapers at the tip for easy penetration, giving a solid placement in all types of ice. The shaft is curved enough for efficient anchoring yet straight enough for planting into snow and comfortable walking. With a modular design, both the pick and adze are interchangeable, so you can easily adapt the Sum'Tec to your climbing needs.
