Mammut's Barryvox S2 is a compact avalanche transceiver made to keep you and your team safer in the backcountry. With intuitive operation, a 70m range, and up to 550-hour send-mode battery life, it's ready for extended adventures in avalanche-prone areas. The S2's guidance system gives you precise instructions in the event of an avalanche. This enables a rapid transition from a coarse search to a fine search. It also instructs you when and where to begin probing. In the worst-case scenario, the S2 kicks into Deep Burial Mode. By changing its parameters, you can detect burials up to six metres. If multiple burials occur, the S2 will auto-select and direct to the strongest signal first, managing up to 16 buried subjects. The reverse function avoids 180-degree search errors, which is essential if you're disorientated after an avalanche.
