Ortovox created the Avabag LiTRIC Tour 28S to make the mountains safer for backcountry skiers. A modular avalanche airbag pack with a short back length ideal for smaller users, its features have been tailored to ski touring. Built around LiTRIC, Ortovox's electronic airbag system is lightweight, reliable, and simple to use. The pack has a modular design with two sections: an Avabag LiTRIC Tour 28S Zip-On attachment and a base comprising the LiTRIC airbag system and back panel. The LiTRIC electronic airbag system is powered by a combination of supercapacitors and a lithium-ion battery. Together, they ensure reliable operation down to -40C without a drop in performance. The unit takes around 25 minutes to charge via USB-C: one charge enables at least two airbag activations. Intuitive to use, LiTRIC makes it easy to practise and get crucial familiarisation with the airbag system before you head into the mountains.
