Black Diamond's Viper Adze ice axe offers all-round performance. Light and robust, the modular head comes equipped with a chromoly steel Natural pick. The adze makes digging through snow easy, whether searching for gear or cutting a ledge. You can adjust the Alpine FlickLock pommel to keep up with the demands of changing terrain. The handle pommel is removable for improved purchase when used as a traditional walking axe. The modular head is compatible with all current Black Diamond picks and hammer attachments (sold separately). This means you can adapt your Viper for any terrain. Ready for towering mountain routes and single-pitch ice climbs, the Viper Adze is best used with Black Diamond's Viper Hammer ice axe.
