Petzl's Ascension Left is an ergonomic rope ascending device. The toothed camming device slides up ropes easily. The over-moulded dual-density handle makes rope ascending more comfortable even with gloves on. The lower hole can take two carabiners for a personal lanyard and foot loop. The top of the Ascension is ergonomic and makes ascending easier when pulling on the device with two hands. The camming mechanism is enclosed to prevent snagging and works on frozen or dirty ropes. It works on everything from thin half ropes to large static ropes from 7 13mm. The Petzl Ascension Left can be used with the Petzl Ascension Right for rapid ascending.
