Petzl's Micro Traxion is an exceptionally efficient progress-capture pulley weighing just 85g. It's ideal for crevasse rescue, hauling, self-rescue, belaying a second and as an emergency ascender. The toothed cam can be locked open so the Micro Traxion can be used as a regular pulley. With 91% efficiency and sealed bearings, the Micro Traxion works dependably. It is effective even in freezing conditions on frozen or muddy ropes. It is compatible with ropes between 7 and 11mm and 6mm haul lines. A small hole means you can use a cord to attach a Micro Traxion to a Petzl SM'D carabiner to prevent dropping.
