When you need to rig an improvised haul system, you need a Petzl Oscillante. Strong yet ultralight - at 42g, it won't weigh your harness down. The pulley's side plates swing open to easily build a haul system on a tensioned rope. The Oscillante is best used with an oval carabiner to prevent cross-loading. Compatible with ropes between 7 and 11mm thickness, it works with everything from thin half ropes to large-diameter static ropes. The self-lubricating bearings will keep the Oscillante running smoothly season after season.
